NexGnzSTEM is an innovative educational initiative built on a foundation of critical values.
We aim to revolutionize how STEM is taught and embraced by the next generation.
One of our fundamental values is inclusivity.
Every Child Deserves the Right Path — Not Just the Right School
We all want the best for our children, especially when it comes to their education. But not every family can afford private school or get into elite charter programs. My husband and I were in that exact position when we first moved to Oklahoma.
On my mother-in-law’s advice, we moved to the suburbs, believing that better schools would mean better opportunities. But what we quickly learned is that even in "good" school districts, students aren’t always placed on the academic track that matches their potential—especially in STEM.
When Schools Miss the Mark
My daughter, a straight-A student, was placed in a lower-level math course in 7th grade—completely skipping over Pre-Algebra. Fortunately, she attended STEM camps (many offering stipends), caught up, and later earned a full four-year college scholarship.
By the time my son reached middle school, I knew better. After summer prep and testing, I advocated for his placement in Pre-Algebra. That early intervention kept him on track—and today, he’s a Structural Engineer.
This Is Not Just My Story
I meet far too many bright students in the wrong classes, simply because no one told them—or their parents—what to ask for or expect.
One student had already completed Biology in 9th grade but was placed in Physical Science in 10th. When I asked why she wasn’t in Chemistry, she replied, “No one told me I should be.” She later discovered a love for Physics.
Another dreamed of becoming a Marine Biologist. Her teacher couldn't even recommend which science course to take next. Today, she’s an Environmental Scientist—because someone stepped in to guide her.
Why I Started NexGnzSTEM
These stories—and my own—are why I created NexGnzSTEM. Academic planning shouldn’t be a guessing game. Parents shouldn’t have to navigate it alone.
NexGnzSTEM exists to give families the tools and knowledge to make informed choices—so students are not just doing well but truly prepared for what comes next in STEM.
